Seminar on Operational Readiness Planning during Crisis and International Travel

  • Held on 9 November 2011 at the NUSS Kent Ridge Guild House and attended by Physicians, Industrial Hygienist and Safety Professionals.
  • Dr. Don Cook and Dr. Bill Lang from Shoreland, Inc, shared with the audience their knowledage and experience on hazard planning and advance planning for international travel.
  • Two topics entitled “All-Hazards Planning:  A structure for improving organizational readiness to deal with critical incidents, including the role of medical personnel in the readiness process” and “International Medical Advance Planning:  How to prepare leaders, executives, and their support teams for international travel” were presented.
  • A networking tea was provided at the end of the 2 hours event.

The inaugural 2011 AIHA Asia Pacific OH + EHS Conference + Exhibition

Held in Singapore from 11-13 October at the Raffles City Convention Centre (RCCC) and OEHS is a supporting organisation for this event.

OEHS First Annual Scientific Meeting, 2011 – “Updates in Occupational Health and Safety”

Held on 20 August 2011, Saturday at the Ministry of Manpower’s Auditorium at Kim Seng Road. 2 CME points were awarded for this event which were attended by Occupational Physicians and Safety and Health Professionals.

The 20th Asian Conference on Occupational Health (ACOH) – “Moving Occupational Health towards the Globalization”

  • Held between 9th to 11th March 2011 in Bangkok, Thailand.

Industrial Hygiene Lunch Time Seminar

  • Held on 23 February 2011 at the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health (EPH), National University of Singapore.
  • Professor Park Doo Yong, from the Hansung University, South Korea gave a talk during EPH Professional Updates on “Developments in Industrial Hygiene ¨C the South Korean Perspective”
  • Seminar was attended by 50 participants.
